My Year In Music – July 2026

Do you ever feel like you’re sitting watching the action happening around you sometimes? Yeah, that’s what happened to me this month. A lot more happened around me than actually happened to me. Don’t get me wrong, it’s been interesting but sometimes it’d be nice to have interesting things happen to me but quiet is good. It’s hard to explain. Life is boring which is both good and bad and I’m waiting for something to happen. Making something happen would probably be the best idea but, honestly, I’ve barely had time to do anything except work lately. i don’t even know where I’m going on holidays at this point and they start at the end of August.

Anyhoo, here’s what you really came for: a playlist of the year so far and the playlist for July as well. I hope you’re enjoying all these random af songs because, fortunately (or unfortunately, depending on how you view it), they aren’t going anywhere. LFG!

July 1: Roar –  Kickflip (Somehow my JYPE babies have NOT made an appearance on any playlists so far this year. UNACCEPTABLE!!! But I fixed it!)
July 2: I Just Might – Bruno Mars (This song just such a sunshiney vibe)
July 3: My Favourite Waste of Time – Owen Paul (Is it a compliment? An insult? It’s a complisult! Yeah, both and neither at the same time. Schrodinger’s statement!)
July 4: DDI RO RI – MEOVV (Classical music + pop song = stuckin my brain!! >_<)
July 5: But Daddy I Love Him – Taylor Swift (No, you can’t come to the wedding but it’s gonna be forever)
July 6: Mikrokosmos – BTS (Happy Birthday to my favourite ARMY and someone who became an amazing friend in such a short amount of time. Hope you enjoy the crazy, Lina, you’re stuck with it now)
July 7: Beachball – Nalin & Kane (Sun’s out. Let’s go to the beach! Oh wait…there’s this thing called work. F*ck)
July 8: Smallest Man Who Ever Lived – Taylor Swift (While crying a lot and being so productive may be an art, here’s to the ones who survived and escaped and are all the better now because of it)
July 9: DONTTRUSTME – 3OH!3 (“Tell your boyfriend if he’s got beef, That I’m a vegetarian, and I ain’t f-ckin’ scared of him.” Iconic!)
July 10: Heat Wave – Glass Animals (I’m melting!!!!)
July 11: Infinity 2008 (Klaas Vocal Edit) – Guru Josh Project (You know it’s a good song when the Gen X, the Millenial and the Gen Z agree)
July 12: Hurricane – Bridget Mendler (When the lyrics come back like muscle memory. Am I sleeper agent?)
July 13: How Deep Is Your Love – Bee Gees
July 14: Living in a Box – Living In A Box (When this song just hits you in the face of a random Tuesday, you include it. You don’t question it, you just do.)

July 20: A Year Without Rain – Selena Gomez & The Scene (Okay I’m cooked now. Can we turn off the furnace please? I miss sleep…)
July 21: Better Now – Post Malone (I don’t think…I know xoxo But you keep telling yourself that)
July 22: DAI DAI – Shakira & Burna Boy (Congratulations Espana! 2 stars instead of 1 now ¡Bien hecho!)
July 23: I Love You Always Forever – Donna Lewis (Such a happy song so it fits my mood right now \^,^/)
July 24: Better Way To Live (feat. Grian Chatten) – KNEECAP (Aspiring to greatness means thinking outside the box and, luckily for me, I don’t like boxes.)
July 25: Venom – Eminem (Eminem can just write so much with a few words and it means way more than you think)
July 26: To Win Just Once – The Saw Doctors (I think waiting 75 years for a championship is long enough. Comhghairdeas le Maigh Eo. Don’t disturb any funerals on the way home, okay?)
July 27: The Swell – Amble (They have taken over the airwaves in Ireland and I, for one, shall not complain. This is stroytelling to music)
July 28: Bellissima (Radio Mix) – DJ Quicksilver (Never fails to make me smile and one of my road trip playlist must haves)
July 29: The Room Where It Happens – Leslie Odom Jr, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Daveed Diggs, Okieriete Onaodowan & the Original Broadway Cast of Hamilton (Ah to be in the room where that conversation is being held. Oh wait! That would mean I know too much…Never mind, I’m fine! *Click Boom*)
July 30: Gives You Hell – The All-American Rejects (When you see my face, it WILL give you ghgell :* I’ll happily be your worst nightmare)
July 31: Roman Empire – Stray Kids & Bang Chan (It’s on streaming services! It’s finally here! I’m fine! I’m totally normal about this. <I’m not fine or normal about this> Excuse me while I listen to this on repeat.)
