My Year In Music – September 2026
Sometimes the songs are easy. They arrive first thing in the morning, bouncing around my head begging to be made the song for the day. Sometimes multiple songs show up in one day and they all deserve a spot on the MYIM playlist. But, of course, sometimes it’s not that easy. Sometimes I just find…

Let’s Talk About This & That (Mini Album Breakdown)
This & That is Stray Kids’ 10th Mini Album and probably the first in which the title track was inspired by the contents of a snack bag. It consists of 8 songs and a run time of about 25 minutes. Once again, 3RACHA appears consistently throughout the credits as lyricists and composers which ensured Bang…

In Depth Mini Album Review – Big Ocean’s THE GREATEST BATTLE
Honestly, coming into this review, I constantly thought of Big Ocean as very different from me despite the fact that, as K-pop idols go, they are perhaps the most like me. Much like me (Emma), the members of Big Ocean are all hard of hearing in some capacity. Formed under Parastar Entertainment, Big Ocean consists…

May 2021 Monthly Round up
We are more free in Ireland now than we have been in over 6 months. We can travel from county to county and meet up with friends. What madness is this?! Both Niamh and I are getting back to work but that doesn’t mean we won’t be doing as much as we can to keep…

Mortal Kombat: Movie Review
Round 1! Fight! Whether you remember the arcade game or have played the newer iterations on modern consoles, Mortal Kombat is a long standing staple in the gaming world since 1992. But now it’s time to turn our attention to Mortal Kombat, the 2021 movie, and how it does in telling a story based on…

The F1 Reaction Series
Hi all, it’s Niamh. Today’s post is something completely different than anything we have ever done before and, honestly, I am waiting for Emma to roll her eyes at me. Today’s post is dedicated to the first three months of my journey watching Formula 1. I know what you are thinking: Niamh, isn’t Emma not…

TV Review: Shadow and Bone
So after binge watching Shadow and Bone, I think it’s only fair that we give it a review this week. I will say that I haven’t read the trilogy by Leigh Bardugo that the series is based on but the series has tempted me to start reading it though. However, Bardugo does play a large…

My Year in Music – April 2021
So this month’s My Year in Music song choices are based on prompts I saw on a song a day for April post that I saw on my Instagram (it was Golden Discs that provided the prompts, if I’m not mistaken) so I said why not give it a go but put my choices here…

April 2021 Monthly Round Up
It feels like only yesterday we were putting together last month’s Monthly Round Up as April truly flew by. This month we have been enjoying the warmer and summery weather. We’ve been spoilt for choice with amazing music this month which has helped us through our daily walks and activities. Disney Plus dominated our TV…

Superhero Day 2021: Marvel edition
It is Superhero Day! Now, we love our Avengers and Marvel heroes so we are dedicating our Superhero Day post to them: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes. Why not DC? Because Marvel has a far more fleshed out, lived in universe (and I, Emma, am not even sure Niamh likes DC all that much) but Marvel is…
