My Year In Music – September 2026
Sometimes the songs are easy. They arrive first thing in the morning, bouncing around my head begging to be made the song for the day. Sometimes multiple songs show up in one day and they all deserve a spot on the MYIM playlist. But, of course, sometimes it’s not that easy. Sometimes I just find…

Let’s Talk About This & That (Mini Album Breakdown)
This & That is Stray Kids’ 10th Mini Album and probably the first in which the title track was inspired by the contents of a snack bag. It consists of 8 songs and a run time of about 25 minutes. Once again, 3RACHA appears consistently throughout the credits as lyricists and composers which ensured Bang…

In Depth Mini Album Review – Big Ocean’s THE GREATEST BATTLE
Honestly, coming into this review, I constantly thought of Big Ocean as very different from me despite the fact that, as K-pop idols go, they are perhaps the most like me. Much like me (Emma), the members of Big Ocean are all hard of hearing in some capacity. Formed under Parastar Entertainment, Big Ocean consists…

October’s Monthly Round-Up
October is over and it has been a crazy month. Spooky season has ended and it is creeping closer to Christmas. We were in London and saw the wonderful Coronas, the ever fabulous Ruthanne in Dublin and I (Emma) got to see the kick off of the Wild Youth winter tour in Cork and hear…

Rewrite The Stars, a balancing act.
“Rewrite The Stars” When you read those three words together what comes to mind? Is it Zac Efron and Zendaya’s epic performance of it during ‘The Greatest Showman’? Matters of the Heart – Ruthanne
With a newly released debut album, “Matters of the Heart”, and dates in The Academy in Dublin and in Colours in London, Ruthanne really seems unstoppable right now. With more songwriter credits than any normal human being would know what to do with, you think she’d be happy to rest on her laurels but, thankfully,…

Who Are We?! XOXO
We started our blog and never really introduced ourselves, so here we go! (And, yes, that title really was a Wild Child reference.) What’s the best thing before sliced bread? Niamh: Indoor Plumbing. It’s gonna be big. Aw Hunkules! If there’s a spider in the house are you going to kill it or set it…

Spotlight Artists: Hudson Taylor
Each month, we will pick a band to listen to and give our thoughts on so for our first Spotlight Artists, we chose Hudson Taylor out of a hat (or, to be more accurate, a pencilcase); so Niamh and I sat down and had a nice long chat about the lads (that we recorded) and…
