My Year In Music – September 2026
Sometimes the songs are easy. They arrive first thing in the morning, bouncing around my head begging to be made the song for the day. Sometimes multiple songs show up in one day and they all deserve a spot on the MYIM playlist. But, of course, sometimes it’s not that easy. Sometimes I just find…

Let’s Talk About This & That (Mini Album Breakdown)
This & That is Stray Kids’ 10th Mini Album and probably the first in which the title track was inspired by the contents of a snack bag. It consists of 8 songs and a run time of about 25 minutes. Once again, 3RACHA appears consistently throughout the credits as lyricists and composers which ensured Bang…

In Depth Mini Album Review – Big Ocean’s THE GREATEST BATTLE
Honestly, coming into this review, I constantly thought of Big Ocean as very different from me despite the fact that, as K-pop idols go, they are perhaps the most like me. Much like me (Emma), the members of Big Ocean are all hard of hearing in some capacity. Formed under Parastar Entertainment, Big Ocean consists…

Disney’s Autumn Original Movies
What does Autumn mean for me? Is it the memories of heading back to school, crunching my way through the fallen leaves in our local woodlands or cozying up in front of a warm fire with hot chocolate? It’s all of those things and more! The biggest tradition I have with Autumn and my siblings…

Booktober – Pride and Prejudice and Zombies
Day 13 of Blogtober and we’re back to Niamh’s last #Booktober book, get ready for a modern eerie parody twist on one of my favourite classics. It’s time for ‘Pride and Prejudice and Zombies’. I first came across this story when the movie of the same name and based on the book came out in…

Enola Holmes
Hello hello everyone. So only recently, Niamh mentioned ‘Enola Holmes’ on the blog and I decided to give it a watch and review it for all you lovely people. Now, I’m going to do my best to keep this brief but there’s a lot of good things to say about this movie and not all…

Booktober – Fallen Series Review
From one book series revolving around soulmates to another for me this Booktober; the next series on Niamh’s List is the Fallen Series by Lauren Kate. Move over Underworld and creatures of the night, this time we are dealing with Fallen Angels. This book series is inspired by the story in the Old Testament about…

Booktober – The Fandom Review
The author of a best selling book has passed away but there is war brewing in the world the author has created. 1) How do you even begin to wrap your head around being transported to the dimension that the fictional world exists in? 2) How do you get back home? 3) How do you…

Booktober – Midnight Sun Review
One of the most anticipated titles of 2020 was Midnight Sun. Be it for good reasons or all the wrong reasons: I read it for my sins! Let’s be real, I was just nosey and wanted to figure out if Midnight Sun was written any better than Twilight was! Look at it this way, dear…

Booktober – Can You Keep A Secret Review
So, I reviewed the movie but everyone knows that the book is better than the movie. ‘Can You Keep a Secret?’ by Sophie Kinsella is a perfect example of that. Considering I’ve already reviewed the movie and outlined the plot there, I’ll keep this review brief. The book offers so much more depth to the…

Booktober – Night World Series Review
Hi all! Day 7 of Blogtober and I’m going to get started on my half of our dedicate days of #Booktober. Niamh here if you haven’t guessed and spoiler: myself and Emma’s book tastes are extremely different this October! For my first post, I am going to be diving into L.J. Smith’s series Night World.…

Booktober: Percy Jackson and The Olympians Series Review
Greetings to all mortals, demigods and Greek gods and goddesses that have decided to read this post. I figured it was time for me to sit down and review a book series that I haven’t had the opportunity to enjoy for a long time now. Plus, with a Masters in Classical History, I just couldn’t…
