2025: THIS IS FOR….you

Dearest OMG reader,

One does hope you have had a superb 2025 and will spend the festivities reminiscing fondly over time well spent this year past and…yeeeah, we’re not doing that for a whole post XD it’s harder than it looks.

It was one hell of a year, don’t you think? We hoped to do so much more but life got in the way in more than one way but we can’t say it was all bad either. I can say with certainty that this year has taught us some lessons. Some harsh, some fair and some that made us better people. We learned to prioritise ourselves. We learned that being a little petty might teach some people a well deserved lesson. We explored new countries and tried some very different things. We made some Golden friends this year and the trash took itself out as well so, all in all, we are richer in that sense. It hasn’t always been peachy. There have been hard times and moments when the rug has been pulled from underneath us but we made it through to the other side. We’re here at the end of 2025 ready to try it all again in 2026.

So with everything we’ve learned this year in mind, I think I should show some gratitude to some very important people: You – The people reading this right now. Even though we were inactive for such a large part of the year, we still had so many people stop by and read our posts – both new and old. So to everyone, absolutely everybody who found us on purpose or by accident, thank you for stopping by. Thank you for being a visitor to our small corner of the world. And thank you for encouraging us to keep going because, to us, every read means a lot. So thank you, go raibh maith agat, terima kasih, merci beaucoup, danke schon, dankjewel, grazie, obrigado, dziękuję, ありがとう and – let’s try this without google translate this time – 감사합니다. If I could, I would say it in all the different languages that represent the 91 different countries we reached this year but that would make this a very, very long post.
