Well it’s almost time to enjoy the Formula 1 season without all of the ‘Lights Out and Away We Go!’ action and, after watching the entirety of the 2022 season (some of it in person), Niamh will be sitting down to watch Drive to Survive Season 5 but with a twist! We’ve tried to guess what moments will make an appearance in Season 5 of DTS and turned it into a game of BINGO! DTS is taking you behind the scene of the pinnacle of motorsport and you just know that this year’s drama is going to be the best yet. From the Pias-co to the cost cap, we really doubt Netflix would need to create more drama but what is DTS without unnecessary drama (probably between teammates). We’ve decided to let you join us in our fun and have given you our versions of bingo cards and then a blank bingo card to fill in with your own predictions.
Before we go into detail why we chose certain bingo squares, we would like to give a massive shout out to all our F1 Girlies over on TikTok who inspired the idea to make a DTS Bingo card based on their F1 Season Bingo Cards!
Get the popcorn ready because the reigning champion is back in the hot seat, a former champion is about to retire and the awkward interviews are about to get an awful lot more awkward. This should be interesting…

- Moments chosen thanks to DTS S4
Firstly, it should be noted I (Niamh) watch the entire of the new DTS Series back to back and as soon as I can once it drops… You need to have popcorn at the ready and all your favourite snacks just to enjoy the show. If you don’t laugh at DTS as a whole, you are doing something wrong! We could never take the inclusion of the new Haas merch after the memes from the shop photo shoot in S4 of DTS seriously but some fans did and ran with it.
- Fireworks!
It goes without saying I’m a sucker for a good firework show. Hoping for a nice shot of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix Fireworks! Secondly, even though they are not fireworks, I cannot wait to see the shot of the orange flares from Zandvoort!
- Dramatic DNFs and over dramatised on track action
It’s the action DTS should be focusing on but when they do, 9 times out of 10, they over dramatised the action that actually happened. We would urge anyone who is not a regular F1 viewer to look up the same on track action on YouTube.
- Netflix Camera getting ghosted
One of my top five favourite things in DTS is when any of the drivers ignore the Netflix cameras on purpose and shoot past them on a scooter or run past them “pretending” not to see them. It is obvious and iconic and I am here for it!
- Every and ALL Danny Ric Moments
We’re very much team Danny Ric here at Our Muchness Guide but, let’s be real, if DTS and Netflix don’t include usual moments from the 2022 Season they might just have the Ric Nation Army after them. These moments include but are not limited to: dancing to the National Anthems, Horsey McHorse in the Paddock, PIIIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRREEEEEEEEEE GGGGGGAAAASSSSSSSSLLLLYYYYYYYY!!!!! And the announcement of his homecoming to Red Bull. #TeamHoneyBadger
- A moment for the PTs and Performance Coaches!
Against all popular belief, it’s not just the cars, safety cars or driver moments I (Niamh) watch DTS for. It is also to smile and wave at my favourite PTs and Performance Coaches: Lando Norris’: Jon, Daniel Ricciardo’s: Michael and Max Verstappen’s: Brad. (Hi guys!).
- Team work makes the dream work!
When they’re not singing Adele or sharing car rides to and from tracks and events, (talking about how the rain is actually Yuki’s heart crying because Pierre could have been leaving) Pierre Gasly and Yuki Tsunoda (sometimes called Yukierre) are the dream team. Or at least they were until it was confirmed that the dream team was getting separated. Now DTS fans can mourn Yukierre’s hopefully amicable divorce.
- 2022 Drama Llamas
The insanity and drama of who had a contract with Piastri for the 2023 season and who didn’t could include some interesting behind the scenes moments in the newest DTS season and, thanks to Netflix, we may even get a look inside the thought processes of bosses at Alpine and McLaren to understand their decisions (like firing the team’s first race winner in over a decade in favour of a rookie). It was all so ridiculous it was dubbed the Pias-co. Who knew Fernando Alonso moving to Aston Martin would kick off the silliest of silly seasons…
- Cost Cap Breach
We all know that, in the world of F1, Red Bull’s Cost Cap Breach was a big deal and, knowing Netflix, they’re going to over dramatise an already dramatic situation to the point that it almost becomes a joke. Honestly, I can see it becoming a meme. The breach was discussed ad nauseam by Sky Sports F1 UK so I’m pretty sure we’re all sick to the back teeth of hearing about it so can we move along please?!
- How the World Champion title was won
The FIA have a special talent for complicating the rules because they are open to interpretation by the Race Directors or because they are so vaguely worded that, by the end of the race in Japan, even the drivers didn’t know what was going on. The gist of it was that, once they raced ended with the chequered flag, full points were awarded and Max became champion due to Charles’ penalty (no matter how hard Max tried to deny it and avoid sitting in his fancy champion’s chair).
- Iconic Moments they better include!
Sebastian’s farewell doughnuts. K-Mag’s and Haas’ first pole! Driver’s singing on the radio! (Happy Birthday to Will’s Mum!)
- Moments that might not make the cut but we adored during the 2022 Season
Checo being king of the street circuits!
Now it’s your turn to join in the fun. Before you sit down to watch the season, try to predict what’s coming and add it to your bingo card. Drive To Survive will available to stream on Netflix from February 24th. Have Fun!
